One of the great assets you have in your business with Usborne, is that next year you can get paid on your efforts you applied this year! What?? Let’s run that by again. Yes, you can get paid next year for the work you do this year!!

Want to know how?
Think about all the people that you are meeting this year. Hostesses, customers, guests at shows, possible recruits, new recruits! Are you planning to meet them once, service them once, and then find new hostesses, customers, etc? Most people who have a history with a product that they enjoy will come back to buy more of that brand of product. They might even go so far that if they are truly happy with the product and the service to become loyal to that brand over other brands of the same product. It should be your goal to have plenty of REPEAT CUSTOMERS and HOSTESSES.

The number one place that consultants come from is from being a past customer or hostess!

Since we have a superior product that we love, all you have to do is give the very best service. Superior customer service includes:

Know your product
Read your handbook!
Be personable, honest, sincere, and professional
Never pressure
Make your name and phone number accessible
Keep records so that you can follow up later
Follow-up on your promises
Call to find out if your customer is happy or needs more service
Send thank you notes
Go the extra mile on little things
Treat others as you would want to be treated
Remember that the customer is always right
When the customer is wrong, refer to the previous item and be gracious!

FREE ADVERTISING:  Where can you get Free Advertising? I know one place that you can get it and I know one place that is almost free! Word of mouth is the best place to get free advertising!
If you:

go that extra mile for others,
do sincere and honest work,
follow-up as you promise,
treat others as you wish to be treated,
love others as you love yourself,

then ...... what ends up happening is that you get free advertising because everyone will spread the word about you! It is amazing how it will come to you in odd moments when you least expect it! You know that people talk, why not give them something good to say!

Now! How to get almost free advertising! I place gold labels on the backs of the Usborne books which I sell.  Every now and then I think, “should I be spending my money on this?” The labels cost about one cent each. I buy 600 at a time. I spend about $8.95 at a time to have 500 mini-advertisements promoting my business on a long term level! We know that our books will be out there a very long time! Two cents per book is pretty close to free! I have enjoyed getting surprise phone calls for future business!

One Christmas week, I received a call from someone I had never met that found my gold label on a friend’s book. She became one of my best hostesses with a show of more 20 guests, show sales of $583. Thanks to her show I had 8 more shows that year from that beginning. That was 7 years ago. Since then, this hostess rebooks every January and starts a new string of shows each time!

One gold label =
success in your business and lots of happy future customers!

This is what my labels have written on them:
