How many times do we have a dream but it feels really
big?
So we set a goal, write it down, break it into smaller action steps, and
then re-evaluate them again and again as we strive to reach the goal. I
wanted to become a 'better signer' for the Deaf attendees at our church.
This led me to enrolling at the University of New Hampshire in
Manchester (UNHM) in 2002. This is a four year program but I managed to
do it in 7 years; setting goals around my family and other
priorities... Somewhere along the way, I upped my goal/dream. I'm now
striving to become a licensed sign language interpreter alongside what I
already do (family & Usborne business)
I encourage you to reach for a dream. I did!

Our awesome class... we've spent the
last few years sweating
it out together.... Kristie S, Paul P, Chris L, Amanda S
Emily G, Katie W, and Deb C.
Pray for us to pass upcoming tests to become licensed interpreters.
And no..... I'm not stopping my Usborne business...
Usborne fits alongside whatever else you are doing! :-)
Fun!

Pax McCarthy, Deb Casey,
Emily Graves, and Jack Hoza
Thank you Pax and Jack for sharing your teaching with us.
Jack taught a ton of my classes. He is the director of the Sign Language
Interpretation program at UNHM.
I worked for both Pax and Jack part-time a couple of years ago to
increase my sign language skills. I so appreciate their sharing and
teaching.

Aimee Stevens, Deb Casey, and Shannon Grundy
Thank you to Aimee for all your sharing in the part time job I had last
year to increase my sign language skills. You and everyone at NDHHS were
so sharing with me.
Shannon thank you for being our teacher in the Field Experience courses
this past year; you opened our eyes to many areas we needed to grow in
and still do! (groan...) |

Fun being in college the same time as your kids.

My folks and beloved husband, Don. Thanks for all your support as I
worked on this degree! It was decades between my Associates Degree and
Bachelor's Degree.... Way cool that it is actually finished.
