Scam Alert
Hello,
There is a major scam out there that I want to make all of you aware of. It is an email asking for you to send info and an order to someone. They state that they will then send you a cert. check later. DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL!! IT IS A SCAM!! They are trying to get personal info from you. This email was going around reps on the east coast last year and it has hit Utah this last weekend. I got one, and a few of you have informed me that you already got it. Usborne tried to look into it last year, and reported the emails. They are not sure why they are targeting Usborne reps or how they got our info.
DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL!! IT IS A SCAM!! I am so sorry if you have gotten this email and in the future, don’t respond to anything that requires you to give info.

may have just responded to this one . . . only gave my name, address and phone number, which is too much info to give to some people who are smart enough to run scams, but it seemed ligit because they asked about specific books?? Do you have a sample of the email that was going around? I’m going to be super bummed if I just fell for this one since it’s about $400 of books . . .

I got this exact email that Deb posted below about 3 weeks ago! I was so excited, and they actually sent me a check, but it turned out to be a scam because it never cleared for my bank. I was also really sad because it was a huge order. Oh well, I guess you live and learn. It’s sad there are these losers out there who try and take advantage of us
