Reach for the Stars
Does anyone have a quick explanation of what a Reach for the Stars is?
Here are the documents that we’ve found useful… anyone have something else we should add?
I used to use a lot of different documents for Reach for the Stars but since I switched to this form… this is all I use for my entire event that I print myself. From Home Office, I purchase the RFTS envelopes for the start of the event and the RFTS certificates for after the event.
Note: You would personalize this to whatever group you are working. Be sure to see if the bonus items are instock. These are items I chose and you can choose items that fit your particular group. To copy a picture to put into the document; go to your ecommerce site – find the book you want to add – click on the book – right click on the larger picture of the book – save to your computer – go back into WORD and right click to be able to add a picture or click insert – resize to fit – sometimes you might have to tell it to position it “tight” to be able to move it where you want it to be.

Wow, that form makes it look so easy! Does it have to be a school/daycare. What if it’s just an organization like a homeschool group or something and the books would go to the co-op? Is that allowed or this strictly for schools?
Any group including we’ve had some families do it for a particular project. They just need to let their sponsors know what their goal is. I must add that a minimum of $750 in sales is needed for us to make all the numbers work for what we offer.
WOW!!! This really does make it look easy, just like Jade said! I still haven’t done one b/c it’s always seemed so complex and so many forms and parts to it, etc. But looking at this easy, 4 page sheet, it made me think, WHY HAVEN’T I DONE THIS YET??? I think I’ll be calling my daughters’ school very soon
Julie (what’s your last name?),
I love doing Reach for the Stars…. it is a delightful way of the community celebrating the student’s journey of increasing their reading skills. Such a win, win, win for the student, school, the proud sponsor, and for you as a cheerleader for them and entrepreneur! It is by far my favorite program after Home Parties that we offer in Usborne Books & More…. although I have to say that our new Cards for a Cause if making me giddy with excitement to share.
Sorry Deb, I just now saw your response! (Julie Griffin) Would you suggest starting with a small school/classroom or preschool??
